The Research Committee aims to reach the Research Vision and Mission of the college and its functioning. The college has research committee that strives to make a contribution to the furthering of research at the institute. The committee has been established to motivate faculty members to involve in research field and to encourage them to get projects and to involve all faculty members in teaching process for new trends. Its major role is to relate thinking with reality. Besides enhancing the performance of faculty members and the institution, such research also serves as a vibrant flexible unit to promote, inspire and provides knowledge base with which they can take up applied research of current relevance to our industry.
The committee enhances update to the faculty members in teaching and learning process. It also encourages and guides the faculty members for major and minor research Projects.
Objectives

During the academic year 2018-19, there are thirty seven research guides and 100 research scholars in our college research centers. There had been fifty recognized research guides from various disciplines for the past five years. Our college has six research centers in the following disciplines for carrying out research:
Tamil, English, Economics, Commerce, History, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Computer Science & Applications
In order to cater the publishing needs for the faculty members and research scholars, the research committee has acquired a multidisciplinary Sarah Research Journal with an ISSN (2319-5134) which is published biannually.
